To her question, she replies that she has a hundred dresses. She (Peggy) and others laugh loudly at this. Peggy can draw pictures better than anyone else. She is hoped to win the girls’ medal.

She fears that she may also become a target of Peggy is teasings. Peggy may ask her about her own dresses which she gets from Peggy. Thus, Maddie is good but timid at heart.
