- Why did Gandhiji scold the lawyers ?

Answer: Gandhi scolded the lawyers for collecting big fee from the poor sharecroppers. He thought that taking such cases to the court did little good to the crushed and fear-stricken peasants. The relief for them, according to Gandhi, was to be free from fear.
गांधी ने गरीब बटाईदारों से मोटी फीस वसूलने के लिए वकीलों को डांटा। उसने सोचा कि ऐसे मामलों को अदालत में ले जाने से कुचले और भयभीत किसानों का कोई भला नहीं होगा। गांधी के अनुसार उनके लिए राहत भय से मुक्त होना था।

Ans: The Champaran episode began as an attempt to ease the sufferings of large number of poor peasants. He got spontaneous support of thousands of people. Gandhi admits that what he had done was a very ordinary thing. He declared that the British could not order him about in his own country. Hence, he considered the Champaran episode as a turning- point in his life.

Answer: The king was killed by a wooden toy tiger. It is very much ironical that he had killed ninety-nine tigers, but one toy tiger had taken revenge upon the king. One of silvers of wood pierced the right hand of the king and caused infection, which ultimately brought his death.
