Question 1.
‘A slumber did my spirit seal’, says the poet. That is, a deep sleep “closed off” his soul (or mind). How does the poet react to his loved one’s death? Does he’ feel bitter grief? Or does he feel a great peace?

Answer:
The poet reacts by saying that he has no human fears because a slumber has sealed his spirit. She seems a thing that cannot feel the touch of earthly years. Before slumber he may have been in grief but after slumber he doesn’t appear so. He appears to feel a great peace; first, he falls asleep and second, he mentions earth’s diurnal course (means routine life).
