3 Adverbs of Manner
Adverb वह word है जो verb या another adverb या adjective के बारे में additional information देता है। Adverbs of Manner (रीतिवाचक क्रिया विशेषण)
Examples :
1. She (Subject) briefly (Adverb of Manner) told (Verb) her story.
2. The students were (Helping Verb) definitely (Adverb of Manner) trying (Verb to learn) to learn.
3. She sang (verb) sweetly (Adverb of Manner)
Explanation (व्याख्या)
• उपर्युक्त सभी वाक्यों के Adverbs of Manner [AOM] में :-ly’ को adjectives के
पीछे जोड़ा गया है, जैसे-brief + ly = briefly. अतः ध्यान रखें कि adjective + ly = Adverb of Manner होता है।
• उपर्युक्त सभी वाक्यों की क्रियाओं (Verbs) से पूर्व ‘How-कैसे’ लगाकर प्रश्न पूछे तो उत्तर AOM द्वारा प्राप्त हो जाता है, जैसे
प्रथम वाक्य की Verb = told
How लगाया = How told
उत्तर आया = briefly (जो एक AOM)
अतः ध्यान रखें कि AOM यह बताते हैं कि ‘कैसे’ या ‘किस रीति से’ (how or in what manner ) कार्य हुआ है।
