1. Answer the following questions :
(i) If someone doesn’t wear a uniform to school, what do you think that the teacher will say?
यदि कोई विद्यालय में विद्यालय पोशाक धारण करके नहीं आता आप क्या सोचते हैं कि शिक्षक क्या कहेंगे?
Answer:
I think the teacher will scold him and ask him not to repeat it. In case, he repeats the same behaviour (of not wearing a uniform), the teacher will punish him and may also send for his parents.
मैं सोचता हूँ कि शिक्षक उसे फटकारेंगे और उसे वापस इसे नहीं दोहराने के लिए कहेंगे। ऐसी स्थिति में वह उसी व्यवहार को दोहराता है (विद्यालय की पोशाक नहीं पहनने का) तो शिक्षक उसे दण्डित करेंगे और उसके माता-पिता को भी बुलवा सकते हैं।
(ii) When everyone wants a clear sky, what does the rebel want most?
जब प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को साफै आकाश चाहिए, विद्रोही को सबसे अधिक क्या चाहिए?
Answer:
When everyone wants a clear sky, a rebel wants cloudy weather.
जब प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को साफ आकाश चाहिए, विद्रोही को बादलों से आच्छादित आकाश की कामना होती है।
(iii) If the rebel has a dog for a pet, what is everyone else likely to have?
यदि विद्रोही पालतू जानवर के रूप में कुत्ता रखता है तो अन्य हर कोई क्या रखना पसन्द करेगा?
Answer:
If the rebel has a dog for a pet, everyone else is likely to have a cat.
यदि विद्रोही पालतू जानवर के रूप में कुत्ता रखता है तो अन्य हर कोई बिल्ली रखना पसन्द करेंगे।
(iv) Why is it good to have rebels?
विद्रोही का होना अच्छा क्यों है?
Answer:
It is good to have rebels, as they help to maintain a balance in the society by thinking differently from others. They also have the guts to stand with their choices fearlessly, which can be beneficial to others. Only such people are capable of bringing about big changes in the society with their power to challenge the decision of the majority.
विद्रोही का होना आवश्यक है जैसे कि वे समाज में दूसरे अन्य लोगों से भिन्न सोचकर संतुलन बनाए रखते हैं। उनमें यह कुशलता होती है कि वे अपनी पसन्द के साथ निडरतापूर्वक खड़े रहते हैं जो कि अन्य दूसरों के लिए लाभदायक होती है। इसी प्रकार के लोग समाज में बड़ा परिवर्तन लाने में सक्षम होते हैं कि वे अधिकांश लोगों के बहुमत को चुनौती देने की शक्ति रखते हैं।
(v) Why is it not good to be a rebel oneself?
किसी स्वयं को विद्रोही होना अच्छा क्यों नहीं है?
Answer:
It is not good to be a rebel oneself because rebels are not liked by others. Being a rebel keeps one aloof from everyone. A rebel ends up making only enemies and no friends.
किसी को स्वयं को विद्रोही होना अच्छा इसलिए नहीं है क्योंकि विद्रोही अन्य लोगों के द्वारा पसन्द नहीं किये जाते हैं।। विद्रोही होने का मतलब यह है कि प्रत्येक से अकेला अलगथलग रहेगा। एक विद्रोही केवल दुश्मन बनाता है और उसके दोस्त नहीं होते हैं।
(vi) Would you like to be a rebel? If yes, why? If not, why not?
क्या आप एक विद्रोही बनना पसन्द करेंगे? यदि हाँ, तो क्यों? यदि नहीं, तो क्यों नहीं?
Answer:
(i) Yes, I think I can be a rebel as I am a| strong-willed and courageous person, who likes to take a stand when something does not seem right, or somebody is wrong. Moreover, when it comes to take a stand for truth, I don’t care much whether I have more of friends or enemies.
हाँ, मैं सोचता हूँ कि मैं एक विद्रोही बन सकता हूँ क्योंकि मेरी इच्छा शक्ति मजबूत है और मैं साहसिक व्यक्ति हूँ, जो यह व्यक्त करने की क्षमता रखता है कि कोई सही नहीं है या कोई गलत है। इससे अधिक, जब सत्य के लिए कोई बात कहने का मौका आता है, मैं इस बात की अधिक परवाह नहीं करूँगा कि मेरे दोस्त अधिक हैं या दुश्मन अधिक हैं।
(ii) I don’t think I would like to be a rebel. To be a rebel, it requires a lot of courage as a rebel is usually outcast. He may also end up making a lot of enemies but no friends.
मैं नहीं सोचता कि मैं एक विद्रोही बनूँगा। विद्रोही होने के लिए अत्यधिक साहस की आवश्यकता होती है क्योंकि एक विद्रोही को सामान्यत: जाति से बहिष्कृत किया जाता है। वह बहुत सारे दुश्मन रखकर समाप्त हो सकता है मगर उसके कोई दोस्त नहीं होंगे।
