हिन्दी अनुवाद : जब तारों भरे सम्पूर्ण गोल क्षेत्र (आकाश) में नम मेघ मँडराते हैं, और उदास अन्धकार धीरे-धीरे वर्षारूपी अश्रु से रोता है। कॉटिज-कक्ष में बिछे बिस्तर के तकिये को दबाने (अर्थात् पर लेटने) में और लेटे हुए ऊपर छत पर हल्की वर्षा की पट-पट सुनने में कितना परम सुख है।
भावार्थ : प्रकृति की सन्निधि हमें परम सुख देती है।

हिन्दी अनुवाद : जब मैं छत पर वर्षा की पट-पट सुनता हूँ तो छत की लकड़ी की टाइल्स पर प्रत्येक टन-टन दिल में गूंजती है। और हजारों स्वप्नत्व कल्पनाएँ व्यस्त व्यक्ति के मन में उभरती हैं (यहाँ कवि स्वप्न लेता-सा प्रतीत होता है), और हजार यादें अपना हवाई ताना-बाना बुनने लगती हैं (अर्थात् अनेक विचार आते हैं व घूमते रहते हैं)।
