Once there was an old farmerr. He had four sons. They always quarrelled with one another. He advised them not to quarrel but all in vain.
One day the farmer was very ill. He called his sons together. He gave them a bundle of sticks. He asked them to break it. No one could break it. He asked them to untie the bundle. Then the farmer asked the sons to break the sticks. They easily broke the sticks one by one.
Now the farmer said to his sons. If you live united like the bundle of sticks. no one can harm you. If you quarrel, anyone can harm you. His sons learnt a lesson. They never quarrelled again. The farmer was happy.
Moral : Union is strength.
